Club Kokomo Tahitian Vanilla Rum is the flavored bottle from Beach Boys co-founder Mike Love's rum company, launched in March 2024, with the rums blended and bottled at a craft distillery in San Diego under master distiller Geoff Longenecker, founder of Seven Caves Spirits. It starts as the brand's Artisanal White Rum, a blend of Demerara cane-sugar rum distilled on site and traditional Jamaican pot-still rum, and whole Tahitian vanilla beans are steeped in it in a proprietary process that Longenecker monitors until the flavor is where he wants it. It is bottled at 80 proof (40% ABV) with no added sugar, artificial flavoring or additives, and it is gluten-free; the vanilla comes from beans, not extract or syrup. Club Kokomo describes a delicate, sweet, floral aroma with vanilla bean and spice on the palate and a smooth finish; reviewers note that it is drier than the category suggests, with a light vanilla-bean perfume, a woody tone, minimal sweetness and a slightly bitter edge on the finish, closer to a spirit than a liqueur.
