Sông Cái Vietnam Dry Gin is the first Vietnamese gin, created by Daniel Nguyen, a California-born biochemist who founded Sông Cái Distillery in Hanoi in 2018 to support sustainable farming among the hill tribes of Vietnam's northwest mountains. It is distilled in direct-fire copper stills with 16 hand-foraged highland botanicals, including mắc mật berries and leaves, jungle pepper, black cardamom, pomelo zest, wood bark, ginger and green turmeric, alongside juniper, and bottled at 45% ABV (90 proof) in a 700ml bottle.
