KISS Black Diamond Rum
KISS Black Diamond Rum was the rock band's first move into spirits, developed with the Swedish company Brands For Fans, which worked with the band on the taste profile and packaging. It launched in Sweden in 2020 and arrived in the U.S. in 2021, when KISS rolled out its spirits lineup in 25 states. The name comes from "Black Diamond," the closing song on KISS's 1974 self-titled debut album, which also appears on the landmark live album KISS Alive!, and the label draws on the band's early costumes and iconic makeup. Inside is a dark blend of Caribbean rums aged up to 15 years in traditional barrels, bottled at 40% ABV. Published tasting notes describe rich dried fruit, orange zest, and butterscotch on the nose; apricot, walnut, and dates on the palate with woody and vanilla nuances; and a slightly spicy, warm, lasting finish. Tasters on RumX describe it as gentle, fruity, and caramel-forward with honey and spice. It sits alongside Detroit Rock Rum, Monstrum, and Cold Gin in the KISS range.
