Yzaguirre Rojo Clásico is the unaged, more direct sibling to the brand's Reserva red — same secret blend of nearly 80 herbs and spices that's defined the Reus-based house since 1884, just without the extra year resting in oak. Spain's respected Guía Peñín guide describes it as complex on the nose, with sweet spices, citrus fruit, and dried herbs, and a palate that's correct and balanced, spicy with fine, precise bitterness. Compared to the mellower, wood-rounded Reserva, this Clásico skews more herbal-forward and directly bitter, with a long, intense, slightly bitter finish that lingers well past the last sip.
