Flor de Caña recently won the highest disctinction by the International Rum Conference (IRC) and was awarded with the title of “2019 Best Rum Distillery”. Flor de Caña is a premium rum from Nicaragua. In 1890 the Flor de Caña distillery was built at the base the most active and tallest volcano in Nicaragua, the San Cristobal volcano. The distillery was built there because the hot volcanic climate helped make the rum’s flavor extremely smooth; the land is fertile and the water was enriched in the area. The Flor de Caña rum is aged at the base of a volcano.
The rum is sustainably produced using renewable energy. Flor de Caña has the highest quality products and the distillery operates completely, one hundred percent, on renewable energy.
