Worthy Park is the Jamaican distillery for people who want the island's pot-still funk without going full Hampden. Every bottle it makes is 100% pot still, estate-grown, and additive-free, and almost all of it costs less than $40. This guide covers what makes Worthy Park different, every bottle we have in stock, and which one to buy for what you're drinking.

About Worthy Park Estate
Worthy Park sits in Lluidas Vale in the St. Catherine hills of central Jamaica. The estate has grown cane since 1670, has been a sugar plantation since 1720, and distilled rum from 1741 until 1962, when a postwar glut shut the still down. The Clarke family, who have owned the estate since 1918, built a brand-new distillery on the property in 2005 and relaunched with a white overproof aimed directly at Wray & Nephew.
What sets it apart is that everything happens on one property. The estate grows its own cane, runs its own sugar factory, and pipes the molasses about a kilometer to the distillery. Fermentation and distillation run on a single 18,000-liter Forsyths double-retort copper pot still built in Scotland. There is no column still, no dunder pit, no muck pit, and no additives. The result is a cleaner, fruitier take on Jamaican rum than the island's wildest high-ester producers: caramelized banana and tropical fruit with a gentle funk rather than an overwhelming one.
For its first decade the new distillery sold bulk rum to independent bottlers like Velier while its own stock aged. The first bottle under the Worthy Park name, Single Estate Reserve, didn't debut until London Rumfest in 2017. Everything below came after.
Worthy Park Rum in Stock at Chips Liquor
Worthy Park Silver
The unaged white, blended from three house marks and weighted toward WPE, the estate's highest-ester mark, so the Jamaican funk survives dilution to 40% ABV. It's the purest look at what comes off the Forsyths still and the easiest Jamaican white rum to use in a Daiquiri. Master of Malt's line on it: "This is what white rum should taste like."
Worthy Park Overproof
The same 63% ABV white overproof that relaunched the distillery in 2007, now under the Worthy Park name instead of Rum-Bar. Unaged, 100% pot still, built to compete with Wray & Nephew. Use it the way Jamaica does: with Ting, in a Zombie, or as the backbone of a rum punch.
Worthy Park 109
Aged three years in once-used ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 54.5% ABV, the old navy strength (109 proof). Announced in 2020 to sit between the mixing rums and the sipping releases, and specced to compete directly with Smith & Cross. It's the Worthy Park for tiki: Mai Tais, Jungle Birds, Navy Grogs, and Rum Old Fashioneds that need backbone. Tiki historian Beachbum Berry has named it his pick for hot buttered rum.
Worthy Park Select
The aged workhorse: pot-still rum aged in ex-bourbon barrels, generally cited at around four years, bottled at 40% with no additives. Light enough to mix, flavorful enough to sip, and the best-value entry to one of Jamaica's great distilleries.
Worthy Park Single Estate Reserve
The first rum ever bottled under the Worthy Park name. A blend of pot-still rums aged six to ten years in ex-bourbon oak on the estate, bottled at 45% ABV. Estate distilled, aged, blended, and bottled, as the label says. This is the sipping bottle, and the one to buy if you only want one Worthy Park.
Worthy Park Special Cask Madeira
Part of the estate's finishing series. Distilled in 2010, aged eight years in ex-bourbon, then two more years in ex-Madeira casks, all on the estate, and bottled in 2020 at 45% with no chill filtration and no color. The Madeira adds nutty, dried-fruit oxidation on top of the banana signature.
Worthy Park Special Cask Port
The sibling release: same 2010 distillate, same eight years in ex-bourbon, then two years in casks that held ruby port, bottled in 2020 at 45%. Drinkers who compare the two tend to find more red fruit in the port and more intensity in the Madeira. Both are limited.
Worthy Park Rum Cream
Rum cream is a Jamaican institution, and this is the one made with real Worthy Park Select underneath rather than neutral spirit. Real dairy cream, estate pot-still rum aged a minimum of four years, bottled at 15% ABV. Over ice, in coffee, or anywhere Irish cream goes.
