Ajornada is a modern cachaça brand founded by Mauricio Maia and Augusto Lima, two creatives who set out to reintroduce Brazil's national spirit, the world's third most consumed, to a new generation of drinkers in the United States through design-led branding that honors tradition.

The spirit is grown, harvested and distilled on a multi-generational family farm in the foothills of Minas Gerais. Mature sugarcane is hand-cut with a machete and pressed within hours, the fresh juice is fermented with wild yeast, and the wash is distilled in copper pot stills with no added sugar or additives. Its distributor describes the cane as organically grown and the cachaça as internationally recognized for purity.
