Darioush was founded in 1997 by Darioush Khaledi, who grew up near the ancient wine city of Shiraz, Iran, built a Southern California grocery empire, then poured his love of Persian culture into a Silverado Trail winery fronted by sixteen travertine columns. The Persepolis-inspired estate is one of Napa's landmarks, and winemaker Hope Goldie crafts the wines from estate vineyards in Mount Veeder, Coombsville, Yountville, southern Napa and Spring Mountain, cooler sites that give structure and freshness.

We carry three Darioush Cabernets. The Signature Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is the house flagship, 100% Cabernet aged 21 months in 75% new French oak, with blueberry, raspberry, creme de cassis, violet, nutmeg and sandalwood over crushed gravel. Darius II is the crown jewel, drawn predominantly from the Sage Vineyard on Mount Veeder and other estate plantings; James Suckling rated it 94 points for its blackberry, dried blueberry, coffee bean and graphite. Caravan is the second Cabernet, a plush blend with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec aged 22 months in French oak, one of Napa's best-kept secrets for the money.
