Devil's Grin is a small-batch Texas gin distilled at Trinity River Distillery in Fort Worth under master distiller Brett Luchesi. The goal was a London Dry-style gin that leads with juniper without being a wall of pine, and the answer was a recipe of fourteen botanicals sourced from six continents, including toasted mesquite bean, white sage, galangal, cardamom, anise, allspice, rose hips, orange and lemon peel, lemon verbena, orris root and angelica root alongside the juniper. The botanicals go through a step maceration, each steeped on its own schedule so it has, in the distillery's words, its own time to shine before they are distilled together slowly in small batches, then tasted for a month before release.

The results have been hard to argue with. Devil's Grin has taken Double Gold at the 2026 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Gold and United States Contemporary Winner at the 2026 World Gin Awards, Best of Category and Gold at ADI 2025, Best in Show in the gin category at the 2025 WSWA Tasting Competition, Gold at Gin of the Year London 2025, and 95 and 96 point scores from the Beverage Testing Institute. Drinkhacker rated it A-, calling it a sipping gin as much as a mixing one. Bottled at 44% ABV in a botanical-embossed bottle with a red label, it is built for a Martini or Negroni and smooth enough to pour over a single cube.
