Maison Dolin has made Vermouth de Chambéry in the French Alps since 1821 and is the last independent producer of the style, the only vermouth in France with its own protected appellation, granted in 1932. Dolin's vermouths are lighter, drier, and more herbal than their Italian cousins, built on alpine botanicals gathered from the meadows above Chambéry, and Dolin Dry is the dry vermouth most bartenders reach for in a Martini. Chips Liquor carries Dolin Dry, Blanc, and Rouge, the revived 1881 Comoz Blanc, Dolin Génépy des Alpes, and the strawberry-scented Chambéryzette.
