Pixari is the mastic liqueur of the family-owned Monogioudis Stefanos Distillery in Neohorion on Chios, the only island where the mastic tree yields its prized resin, and it carries the Chios P.D.O. designation. The name comes from pixaria, which the producer calls the most aromatic variety of mastic tree. Mastiha has been valued since antiquity and remains the island's signature spirit.

The liqueur is made from water, sugar, molasses-based alcohol and natural Chios mastic. Whole resin is steeped in the alcohol for 25 days, blended with a water and sugar mixture to 26% ABV and bottled unfined and unfiltered, so it pours milky and cloudy with pieces of mastic suspended in the bottle and notably less sugar than many mastiha liqueurs.
