Sangallo Distillery Cinque Terre is a family-run Ligurian distillery in the province of Genoa, with its production in San Colombano Certenoli and offices in Cogorno. Founded in 1964 and operated by the Bergamino family, it produces amari, regional herbal liqueurs such as limoncino, and grappa distilled from local grape pomace. For its amari the house infuses botanicals, distills them, and finishes with a simple sugar-and-water syrup.

The distillery is best known for Amaro Camatti, Genoa's house bitter. Created in 1924 by Umberto Briganti in Recco, the recipe passed to Sangallo in 1989, which has kept it unchanged. Camatti is built on almond, cinchona, mint, bitter orange and gentian, with botanicals distilled or macerated in groups in neutral grain spirit, and is bottled at 20% ABV. A 2020 repackaging gave it the 1950s-style orange label seen across Genoa's bars and cafés, and it was named World's Best Bitter at the 2023 World Liqueur Awards.

Camatti sits comfortably on either side of a meal: poured over ice as an aperitivo, lengthened with soda or tonic, neat after dinner, or used as the bitter in a spritz or Negroni variation.
