Mezcal Trascendente was launched in 2020 by the Bianciardi-Salcido family and is produced in the Tlacolula de Matamoros valley of Oaxaca's Central Valleys, a Zapotec region within a UNESCO-recognized cultural landscape. Production is led by a fifth-generation maestro mezcalero, and the brand joined the Spiribam America portfolio for its 2025 United States launch.
The house style is deliberately low-smoke: mature agaves grown by native communities are cooked with sustainably sourced wood from the Sierra Juárez while limiting combustion smoke, fermented slowly and wild with natural yeasts, and double distilled in copper pot stills with careful heads-and-tails cuts using spring water from Yagul. The result emphasizes agave, fermentation and minerality over char, and Falstaff scored the Espadín 95 and the Ensamble 96 points at its 2025 Agave Trophy tasting. Trascendente funds hummingbird rescue and pollinator gardens in Mexico through its Hummingbird Initiative.
The range covers a 40% Espadín, a 48% Espadín Selecto made only from the hearts of the best plants, an Ensamble of Espadín, Tobalá and Cuishe, and a tamarind-flavored Espadín, all in 700ml bottles.
