Benriach is a Speyside single malt distillery founded by John Duff in 1898 near Elgin, now owned by Brown-Forman and shaped by master blender Dr. Rachel Barrie. It is one of the few Speyside distilleries that still peats its own malt during a short annual "smoke season," and its three-cask maturation style layers bourbon, sherry, port, rum and Marsala wood for unusual depth.
