5to Mes Plata Tequila
5to Mes Plata is the unaged silver expression of 5to Mes, a 100% blue agave tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, made to showcase the raw character of the agave with nothing in the way. Plata, or silver, is bottled fresh from the still, so every note comes from the plant, the cooking, and the distillation.
It is silver bright with a strong scent of fresh agave layered with anise and herbal notes. On the palate, an intense cooked agave taste overlaps the underlying fresh agave, turning minty and giving way to a smooth, herbal finish at 40% ABV. It is a great sipping blanco for anyone who loves the green, vegetal side of tequila, and it makes a superb Margarita, Paloma, or Ranch Water. This 750 ml bottle is the entry point to a distinctive range.
