5to Mes Reposado Tequila
5to Mes Reposado is a 100% blue agave tequila from Jalisco, Mexico, rested for six months in French oak barrels, a departure from the American ex-bourbon casks most tequila houses use. French oak lends a subtler, spicier influence that lets the agave stay bright while adding complexity.
It is silver bright with only a faint tint from the wood, and it opens with strong citrus, clean agave, and a mixture of herbs. On the palate you get herbal hints of green tea with almond and cinnamon notes, resulting in a spicy, smooth finish at 40% ABV. It is a versatile bottle that sips well neat or over ice and elevates a Margarita or a Tequila Old Fashioned. This 750 ml bottle sits between the fresh Plata and the oak-driven Añejo in the 5to Mes range.
