Barrell Craft Spirits Gold Label Bourbon
Barrell Craft Spirits Gold Label Bourbon is the pinnacle of the Louisville blender's range, a limited blend of 16 and 17-year-old straight bourbons bottled uncut and unfiltered at 113.54 proof. Barrell built its reputation on sourcing exceptional barrels from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana, and Gold Label is where its oldest and best stock comes together.
Barrels for this release were selected from four collections: cherry-bomb barrels with a rich mouthfeel, nutty oak-forward barrels, high-proof high-complexity barrels, and barrels with pronounced milk chocolate notes, the last group given a secondary maturation in toasted virgin American oak before joining the blend. The result is intricate and seductive, with deep oak, dark cherry, toasted nuts, and chocolate over a long, layered finish. Sip it neat and slowly. This 750 ml bottle is a trophy for any serious bourbon collector.
