Goose Island Bourbon County Stout 2021
Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout 2021 is the annual release of the beer that invented the barrel-aged stout category, first brewed by Greg Hall in Chicago in 1992 for the brewery's 1,000th batch. Every year the goal is to uphold the integrity of that original recipe and make the best Bourbon County Stout possible, and 2021 was no exception.
This rich imperial stout is blended from a mix of freshly emptied bourbon barrels from distilleries such as Heaven Hill, Wild Turkey, and Buffalo Trace, each aged for 8 to 14 months. Expect chocolate, vanilla, oak, whiskey, and molasses, followed by caramel, berry fruit, and almond, in a thick, warming beer built to be sipped from a snifter and cellared for years. This 16.9 oz bottle is a collector's item for stout lovers and a must for the annual Black Friday tradition.
