Its eaux-de-vie, distilled with their lees for aromatic intensity and aged for many years in fine-grain, lightly toasted French oak, are blended for depth without heaviness.
It shows a deep amber, like aged mahogany. The nose is dried apricot and candied orange with florals and a subtle spice. The palate is lush with ripe pear, vanilla and honey, then roasted nuts and a delicate cedar note, and the finish is exceptionally long and graceful. It is a cognac for slow sipping neat in a tulip glass.
