Cap Corse Mattei Quinquina Blanc is a Corsican aperitif wine created in 1872 by merchant Louis-Napoléon Mattei and named for his native Cap Corse, the peninsula that juts north from Corsica into the Mediterranean. It is a true quinquina blanc, flavored with cinchona bark, and unique among aperitif wines for its distinctly Corsican components.

The all-mistelle base is made from Vermentinu and Muscat Petit Grains, lending terrific minerality, acidity, and floral tones, while local cédrat (citron) adds a unique citrus aroma and a silky texture, with a gently bitter quinine finish at 17% ABV. Serve it well chilled on ice with a lemon twist, top it with soda or tonic for a Corsican spritz, or use it in place of Lillet in a Vesper or a White Negroni. This 750 ml bottle is a summer aperitif essential.
