Cat's Eye Obtainium 27 Year is an extra-aged Canadian whisky selected and bottled by Cat's Eye Distillery of Bettendorf, Iowa, under its Obtainium label, a series devoted to rare, well-aged barrels the distillery hunts down and bottles without blending away their character. This whisky was distilled in Canada in 1994 and bottled on July 29, 2021 at 27 years old, which puts it among the oldest Canadian whiskies you are likely to find on any shelf. 750ml.
Nearly three decades in oak give this whisky a deep amber color and a profile built on rich toffee, maple and dried fruit, layered with vanilla, gentle rye spice and old polished oak, with a long, mellow finish. It is a whisky for slow sipping neat, and a rare find for collectors of ultra-aged Canadian and independent bottlings. Quantities are extremely limited.
