The Circle is a limited-edition Compass Box blended malt born from The Circle Competition, an in-house contest that invited the company's bartender friends to design a whisky. London bartender Rosey Mitchell won, and she led the blend alongside Compass Box whiskymaker Jill Boyd, making it one of the few Scotch whiskies designed by a working bartender.
Bottled at 92 proof, non-chill-filtered with only a light five-micron filtration and naturally colored, The Circle is built on Highland and Speyside malts for a bright, fruit-forward profile: ripe orchard fruit, honey, vanilla and gentle spice on a soft, rounded palate, finishing clean and lightly oaky. Made with cocktails in mind but delicious neat, it is a one-time release that doubles as a collector's piece for fans of the London blender.
