Giffard Crème de Mûre is a 750ml, 16% ABV blackberry liqueur from Giffard, the family distillery founded in Angers, France in 1885. It is made by infusing ripe blackberries for a deep purple liqueur with a frank, powerful aroma of fresh fruit puree and jam.
The palate is round and pleasant, carried by the freshness of the fruit and the aromatic power of the blackberry, with a subtle seed bitterness at the end. It is the essential ingredient for a Bramble, and works beautifully in a Kir, a blackberry sour or drizzled into sparkling wine.
