PGA Championship Lemonade is the official co-branded jar Sugarlands Distilling Company makes with the PGA of America, launched in May 2022 when the Gatlinburg, Tennessee distillery became the Official Moonshine of the PGA Championship and debuted the flavor at Southern Hills in Tulsa. Sugarlands opened in 2014 at 805 Parkway at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains, distills on site, and has since built a run of sports tie-ins, including Ryder Cup jars and High Rock Vodka with Dale Earnhardt Jr.; this one carries the Wanamaker Trophy on the label. It starts from the distillery's corn-based Tennessee moonshine, then takes on lemonade flavor and is bottled in the brand's mason jar at 40 proof (20% ABV), the light end of the Sugarlands range and built for summer drinking. The distillery describes it as a lively citrus zest: fresh lemon with a touch of sweetness on the nose, zesty and balanced on the palate, with a crisp finish of lingering citrus. Sugarlands recommends it chilled and straight from the jar, over ice, lengthened with soda water as a highball, in a Lemonade Mule with ginger beer, or as the base of a spiked Arnold Palmer with iced tea.
