The Reid Vodka is a single malt vodka from Cardrona Distillery, high in the mountains near Wanaka on New Zealand's South Island. Cardrona is best known for its single malt whisky, and The Reid is made the same way, from 100% malted barley, distilled in copper pot stills and blended with pure alpine water from the Cardrona valley. It is bottled at 44% ABV (88 proof) in a 750ml bottle, and it was named the world's best vodka at the World Vodka Awards.
Because it is made from malted barley rather than wheat or corn, The Reid has a texture and flavor you will not find in most vodkas: a soft, creamy body, notes of fresh bread, vanilla and a touch of honey, and a warm, gently sweet finish.
