Tsilili Dark Cave Aged 5 Year Tsipouro is a 750ml, 41% ABV aged Greek grape spirit from Tsilili Distillery in Raxa, Thessaly, one of Greece's most acclaimed tsipouro producers. It is distilled from a blend of 85% Muscat of Hamburg, 15% Roditis and other varieties in a small copper pot still with a fractional column, with the heart of the run aged in French and American oak for five to twelve years.
The casks are a mix of new and used red wine barrels and used Vinsanto barrels, giving intense fruity aromas of raisins, prunes and bergamot peel with vanilla, chocolate and nutmeg, a robust but supple body and a smooth, fine finish. Sip it neat like a fine brandy.
