McMann & Tate Cocktail Co. is a small producer of all-natural, handcrafted cocktail bitters, dried garnishes and rimming salts, founded in 2020 and aimed at people who make drinks at home for themselves, friends and family. Every bitters in the range is made in small batches from selected botanicals, fruits, herbs and spices. Citrus Grove is the brand's bright citrus bitters, built from lemon, grapefruit and lime peel with angelica, cinchona and grains of paradise. The peels bring the aroma, cinchona (the bark that gives tonic water its bite) supplies the bitterness, angelica adds an earthy, gin-like herbal note, and grains of paradise contributes a peppery, gently warm spice. McMann & Tate describes it as bright citrus peel meeting subtle spice, crisp, clean and slightly bitter with a fragrant botanical lift, and Bartender Spirits Awards judges noted bright orange zest on the nose and a sharp, citrus-driven palate with a quick, clean finish. It's made for gin and tequila drinks: add a few dashes to a Margarita, Paloma, Gin and Tonic, Mojito or citrus spritz, or use it to give sparkling water and mocktails more depth.
