Domaine Curry Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Domaine Curry was launched by Ayesha Curry and her sister-in-law Sydel Curry-Lee, the culinary entrepreneur and the wife of NBA star Stephen Curry's brother Seth, and the brand relaunched in 2023 in partnership with The Prisoner Wine Company with a vintage dedicated to powerful women. The Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon blends Cabernet Sauvignon with Petit Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Franc from vineyards across the valley. Grapes are hand-picked into half-ton bins, gently destemmed and fermented after a short cold soak, then pressed, settled and racked into 100% French oak, a mix of new and neutral barrels, before bottling at 14.5% ABV. The wine shows an intense purple-red color with red fruit, dark red cherry, clove, caramel, cola and cinnamon toast on the nose, with secondary notes of chocolate praline, blackcurrant, sandalwood, licorice and dark tobacco; the palate is creamy and full-bodied with supple, velvety tannins and a savory finish of sweet blackberries and exotic woods. It is age-worthy but approachable now. Pair this 750ml bottle with Ayesha Curry's own braised short ribs, a grilled ribeye or smoked brisket. Vintages may vary; we ship the current release.
