Lemorton Calvados Domfrontais Sélection is a 750ml calvados from Domaine Lemorton in Mantilly, a family estate in the Domfrontais appellation of Normandy. Domfrontais is the pear-growing corner of calvados country, and while the appellation requires at least 30% perry pears, Lemorton's blend runs to roughly 70% pear, giving the house its distinctive light, fragrant style.
Sélection is the entry to the range: golden straw in the glass with light pear aromas, a touch of vanilla and a fresh, clean finish. It is an easy sipper neat and a superb cocktail calvados in a Jack Rose, a calvados sour or a Normandy-style highball.
