- Story is told that Mandarine Napoléon was originally created for Napoléon Bonaparte during his reign as First Emperor of France and over the time it developed into the liqueur that we know today.
- Distilled at Distillerie de Biercée, the only fruit distillery in existence in Belgium. - Savour Mandarine Napoléon neat, on the rocks, or in a range of cocktails, not least the Napoléon Margarita.
Twenty years ago I was given a bottle of Mandarine Napoleon liqueur. Not only is it delicious, but both men & women like it. Adding it to sweet potatoes with a little bit of butter equals best sweet potatoes ever. Downside was it was very hard to find in local liquor stores (rephrase, virtually impossible). Chips Liquor had it in stock & also had the best price. Shipping was free (bought 3 bottles).
I enjoyed the orange taste which lasted a little longer on my tongue than I expected.
