Omage XO Brandy is a California grape brandy made in the French style, distilled from California wine grapes and aged in oak to XO standards, then bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof). It is part of a new wave of American brandies that borrow cognac technique without the cognac price tag.
It shows a distinct aged character: a dried apricot aroma with hints of jasmine and honeysuckle, balanced by tempered oak and a smooth caramel finish. The palate is round and mellow with orchard fruit, vanilla and light spice. Drink it neat or over ice, or use it anywhere a VSOP cognac would go: a Sidecar, a Sazerac or a brandy Old Fashioned.
