Hibiki Japanese Harmony Ryusui-Hyakka Limited Edition 2021 Whisky is the House of Suntory's 2021 design bottle, adorned with painted flowers and flowing ribbons of water. Ryusui-Hyakka, One-Hundred Flowers and Flowing Water, depicts the blossoms of Japan's twenty-four traditional seasons joined by the ever-changing flow of water that carries one season into the next, echoing the 24 facets of the Hibiki bottle itself.
Inside is Hibiki Japanese Harmony, a blend of malt whiskies from Yamazaki and Hakushu with grain whisky from Chita, aged in five cask types and bottled at 43% ABV. It is luminous and delicate: rose, lychee, a hint of rosemary and mature sandalwood on the nose, honey-like sweetness, candied orange peel and white chocolate on the palate, and a subtle, tender, long finish with a hint of mizunara oak.
