Kenwood Vineyards Jack London Vineyard Sonoma Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
Kenwood Vineyards was founded in 1970 in the heart of Sonoma Valley and has held the exclusive rights to the Jack London Ranch vineyards since 1976, farming the vines the author planted around his Beauty Ranch estate above Glen Ellen. The Jack London Vineyard sits on the eastern slopes of Sonoma Mountain on red volcanic soil, where warm morning sun and cooling afternoon breezes give the Cabernet thick skins, dark color and firm structure; the wolf on the label is London's own signature mark. Kenwood's small-lot winemaking keeps the vineyard's blocks separate through fermentation before the final blend is aged in French oak barrels. At 14.5% ABV, the winemaker calls it bold and luscious, with intense black cherry and currant aromas, roasted cocoa bean and mint, and a strong, elegant finish built on ripe tannins. It is one of Sonoma County's longest-running single-vineyard Cabernets and ages gracefully for a decade or more. Serve with grilled lamb, a rosemary-crusted rib roast or hard aged cheeses. 750ml bottle. Vintages may vary; we ship the current release.
