Lagavulin Offerman Edition 11 Year Guinness Cask Finish Islay Single Malt Scotch
Lagavulin Offerman Edition Guinness Cask Finish is the second collaboration between Islay's most revered distillery and actor Nick Offerman, whose Parks and Recreation character Ron Swanson made Lagavulin famous to a new generation. For this 2021 release, 11-year-old Lagavulin was finished in casks that previously held Guinness stout, the first time the whisky has ever been finished in beer casks.
Bottled at 92 proof, it marries Lagavulin's signature south-coast Islay peat with the roasted, chocolatey character of the stout: smoke, malt and dark chocolate on the nose, then a rich palate of espresso, treacle, dried fruit and salty peat, finishing long with roasted grain and smoke. A limited edition that sold out fast and has become a collector's favorite, it is the perfect gift for a Ron Swanson fan or anyone who loves a pint of Guinness alongside their dram.
