Dos Artes Calavera Doble Barrica 36 is the 2026 Día de los Muertos limited edition from Dos Artes, the Arandas, Jalisco house behind some of the most collected ceramic tequila decanters in the category. This year's bottle is a sculpted Catrina: a hand-painted sugar-skull face framed by an arched hood, glossy black florals and white dotted accents on an earthy rose-brown clay body. Every decanter is individually sculpted and painted over more than 72 hours, so no two are identical. Inside is a 100% Blue Weber agave extra añejo produced at NOM 1588 in the Highlands of Jalisco under master distiller León Bañuelos: autoclave-cooked, roller-mill extracted, fermented and double distilled in copper alambique pot stills, then matured a minimum of 36 months with the Doble Barrica double-barrel treatment in brand-new French and American oak casks that Dos Artes owns and curates exclusively. The producer bottles it at 40% ABV without additives. Retailer tasting notes describe cooked agave, brown sugar, vanilla bean, toasted oak and dried fig on the nose, a rich palate of caramel, warm cinnamon, oak and dried-fruit sweetness over roasted agave, and a long finish of oak spice and dark caramel. This is the one-liter decanter in its limited 2026 release.
