Nikka Taketsuru 17 Year Old Japanese Whisky is a discontinued age-stated pure malt named for Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka and the father of Japanese whisky, who learned his craft in Scotland and built the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. This blended malt marries seventeen-year-old malts from both distilleries, bottled at 43% ABV, and was retired in 2020 as aged stocks ran short.

It is one of the most decorated Japanese whiskies ever made, named World's Best Blended Malt multiple times at the World Whiskies Awards. The nose is rich with dried fruit, sherry, malt and a whisper of Yoichi peat; the palate is full and silky with toffee, orange peel, dark chocolate and gentle smoke, and the finish is long and elegant. It is a whisky to sip neat and slowly.

With production ended, this 750ml bottle is a true collector's piece and a landmark of Japanese whisky. Buy Nikka Taketsuru 17 Year Old Japanese Whisky online with fast shipping right to your door.
