No. 2 is a curated blend of six- and seven-year-old straight rye whiskeys sourced from Kentucky and Indiana, bottled at just under 120 proof, and it leans brighter and more herbal than Batch No. 1.
The nose shows honeysuckle, mint, rye bread, lemon black tea and seasoned oak. On the palate there are rich layers of sweet honey, cracked black pepper, cardamom, dark fruit and warm baking spice over a bold rye backbone and smooth oak structure, and the finish lingers with minty freshness, gentle tannin and a subtle citrus lift. Moix, a veteran bartender, picks barrels for personality rather than consistency, so each Limited Release batch is meant to taste distinct from the last. Collect both and compare.
