Mandala Reposado comes in a hand-painted one-liter ceramic — highland agave selected at peak maturity, brick-oven cooked, and rested in oak, from the house famous for its beaded Huichol art bottles. Arturo Lomelí Ibarra founded Mandala in 2016 with Humberto Ibarra and José Joel García Barreto in the Los Altos highlands, with a mission to make a tequila worth savoring and a bottle worth keeping; the house is a multiple international award winner, and its ceramics are painted by local artisans. The Reposado is 100% highland blue Weber agave, selected at optimum maturity, cooked in traditional brick ovens, double-distilled, rested in oak for the reposado term, and bottled at 40% ABV in the painted one-liter ceramic. Wooden Cork names the Reposado a flagship alongside the Extra Añejo; Flaviar calls it solid for sipping or mixing. Expect a nose of cooked agave, vanilla, and caramel with a light oak spice, opening into a smooth, rounded, gently sweet palate of agave, honey, and baking spice with a warm, clean finish.
