Kamonishiki Nifudazake Tank 132 is a single-tank Junmai Daiginjo from Kamonishiki Shuzo in Niigata Prefecture, Japan's most famous sake region and home of the clean, dry tanrei karakuchi style. Nifudazake means "tag sake": each bottle carries a simple paper tag with the tank number, a nod to the way brewers label tanks in the cellar.

It is brewed from Yamada Nishiki koji rice and Niigata-grown Gohyaku Mangoku, both milled to 50%, and bottled as a muroka nama genshu, meaning unfiltered, unpasteurized, and undiluted. Rather than the punchy style that usually implies, it is delicate and lively, with aromas of freshly cut white peach and pineapple, a silky texture, apricot and honeydew flavors, and a soft, definite finish at 15% ABV. Keep it refrigerated and serve chilled with sashimi or oysters. This 720 ml bottle is an outstanding value.
