Momokawa Pearl is a nigori genshu Junmai Ginjo from Momokawa, brewed by SakéOne in Forest Grove, Oregon, one of the first craft sake breweries in America. Nigori means the sake is coarsely filtered, leaving aromatic rice sediment that gives it a cloudy, pearl-white color and a creamy texture, and genshu means it is bottled undiluted for a bolder, fuller flavor.
Pearl is rich and smooth with soft rice sweetness, notes of tropical fruit and coconut, and a clean finish at 14.8% ABV. Shake gently before pouring and serve well chilled. It is a favorite with spicy food, sushi, and dessert, and its gentle sweetness makes it one of the easiest ways to fall in love with sake. This 750 ml bottle is a great value.
