St. George Bruto Americano is a 750ml, 24% ABV bitter aperitivo liqueur from St. George Spirits of Alameda, California, the pioneering craft distillery founded in 1982. Master distiller Lance Winters built it with a bracing dose of bitterness, a bright pop of citrus and intriguing sylvan notes inspired by growing up in 1970s California.
The bitterness comes primarily from gentian root, the citrus from California-grown Seville orange, and the woodsy notes from balsam fir and cascara sagrada, the bark of the California buckthorn.
