St. George Green Chile Vodka is the original craft pepper vodka, made by St. George Spirits in Alameda, California. Instead of a single chile extract, the distillery uses a fresh medley of jalapeños, serranos, habaneros, red and yellow bell peppers, lime peel and cilantro, distilling and blending them so the vodka tastes like fresh pico de gallo rather than plain heat. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The aroma is fresh green chile, lime and cilantro, and the palate delivers vegetal pepper flavor with a moderate, building warmth and a clean finish. It is the best Bloody Mary vodka most bartenders have ever used, and it also makes an excellent spicy vodka margarita-style drink, a spicy mule, or a simple pour with grapefruit soda and lime.
