The 1942 bundle is Don Julio's three luxury bottles in one set — the 1942 Añejo, the Primavera, and the Rosado — the gift that answers the question before it's asked. In 1942 a young Julio González took a loan to open La Primavera in Atotonilco el Alto, in the Los Altos highlands, and built Mexico's original luxury tequila; Diageo owns it today, still made at NOM 1449. The 1942 is the añejo aged two and a half years in ex-bourbon oak — 12x75's butterscotch, caramel, dark chocolate, and toasted oak, the flex bottle. The Primavera is a reposado finished in orange-wine casks — all blossom and citrus, a seasonal release that Agave Matchmaker's fans call the finest tequila they've had. The Rosado is a reposado finished in Ruby Port casks from Portugal's Douro — pink, with red fruit and florals. All three are 100% mature highland blue Weber agave, slow-cooked in brick ovens and double-distilled, bottled at 40% ABV in the tall penca bottle; check the listing for bottle sizes.
