The Glenlivet 21 Year Old Sample Room Collection is a batch-produced, triple-cask expression from the distillery George Smith founded in 1824 as the first licensed distillery in the Livet valley. Named for the sample room where the distillery's makers nose and approve every cask, it is meticulously crafted from hand-selected American oak, ex-sherry and other casks, each individually approved, so every batch carries its own subtle nuances.
Bottled at 86 proof, it pours rich amber with shimmering copper and offers beautifully melded aromas of dried fruit from the sherry casks with spicy hints of cinnamon and ginger, then a palate of bold richness and vibrant intensity, sultana, orange, toffee, dark chocolate and warm oak spice, finishing long and warm.
