Coconut was one of Cîroc's first two flavors, launched in 2010 alongside Red Berry — and it's the one that turned a French grape vodka into a beach drink. The base is what makes it different from every other coconut spirit: Mauzac Blanc and Ugni Blanc grapes from Gaillac and Cognac, cold-fermented into wine and distilled five times — the last in a copper pot still — by Jean-Sébastien Robicquet at Maison Villevert in the south of France. That grape vodka is infused with sweet, creamy coconut and a hint of other tropical fruit, bottled at 35% ABV (70 proof). Expect a rich, fresh coconut nose — more coconut milk than suntan lotion — with a tropical lift, opening into a smooth, creamy palate where the coconut meets the grape base's natural softness, finishing clean and gently sweet. Honest note: it's a flavored, lower-proof vodka built for mixing — purists should reach for the original — but among coconut spirits it's notably less sugary than most.
