Bourbon Culture found the twelve years added more depth than the ten without drowning in oak, with the proof dialed for approachability, and argues a batched product like this delivers the label's best traits more reliably than a single barrel. Expect Eagle Rare's signature — toffee, honey, orange peel, leather, and dry oak — deepened by two more years into dark caramel, dried cherry, tobacco, and cocoa, with the extra ten proof points turning the ten-year's short, dry finish into a long, warm, oaky one.
