The mashbill is 65% corn, 30% rye, 5% malted barley — more rye than nearly any Kentucky bourbon — fermented by the sour-mash method, distilled in a copper column and doubler, cut with water from the aquifer under the distillery, aged at least four years in 53-gallon toasted-and-charred barrels, and bottled per the 1897 act at 100 proof without chill filtration.
