Al Rawabi Arak is a traditional Levantine arak, the anise-flavored grape spirit that is the national drink of Lebanon and a fixture of every mezze table from Beirut to the Bekaa Valley. Arak is made by distilling grape wine, then redistilling it with aniseed, which gives it a clean licorice flavor and the famous milky cloud that appears the moment water is added.
