Asbach Uralt is a 750ml German brandy and the flagship of Asbach, founded by Hugo Asbach in Rüdesheim am Rhein in 1892. It is Germany's best-known Weinbrand, made by traditional distillation, aged at least three years in Limousin oak casks and finished with the secret Asbach maturing process.
Dark topaz in color, it blends vinous and spicy notes with harmonious wood and a hint of cocoa. The palate is full-bodied and vinous, ripe grape sweetness meeting spicy oak, and the finish carries light smoke, cocoa and gentle tannin. Sip it neat, add it to coffee, or use it in a brandy sour.
