Bandarful is the coffee liqueur that put Indian craft spirits on the map in 2025, when it took a gold medal and was named World's Best Liqueur at the USA Spirits Ratings in San Francisco. It comes from Himmaleh Spirits, the Uttarakhand distillery founded by Ansh Khanna and Samarth Prasad, better known in the States for Jin Jiji and Kumaon & I gin. The coffee is single-estate, hand-picked Arabica from Chikmagalur, the Karnataka hill district where India's coffee story began, and it's cold-brewed rather than hot-extracted, which keeps the acidity low and the body smooth. That brew is married to a neutral spirit cut with Himalayan spring water and sweetened with Kumaon cane sugar, with a touch of barley in the mix, and bottled at 25% ABV. Expect rich, velvety coffee with cocoa and a clean, lightly sweet finish, less syrupy than the big-name coffee liqueurs. Pour it over ice, sip it neat after dinner, or put it in an Espresso Martini or a White Russian. The name is a pun on bandar, Hindi for monkey, and the Himalayan langur on the label.
